USE YOUR HEALING HANDS!

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV)

The crowds all paid close attention to Philip’s message and to the signs they saw him perform. / With loud shrieks, unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed, and many of the paralyzed and lame were healed. Acts 8:6-7 (Berean)

Did you know there are Pastors who will tell you that Mark 16 was added to the scripture? They claim it was because it was not in one third of the original texts found. They fail to tell you that is was found in the other two thirds of the original manuscripts. This is their avoidance of Christians having to cast out demons, speak with new tongues and lay hands on the sick, so it seems.

Another reason some claim that healing finished with the Apostles is because they were the only ones which had the ability to do miracles in the early church. The logic is when they died out so to speak, all the ‘sign gifts’ ceased. Firstly, what about Philip? He was not one of the twelve Apostles and yet he did all the things that the Apostles did when he ministered.

This debunks the erroneous theory that only the Apostles could do signs and wonders. Secondly these Pastors tell you that only the gifts of the Spirit that are not ‘sign gifts’ remained. This is a blatant contradiction of their own doctrine.

Despite all the verses that are taken out of context to try to prove it, there is no accurate scriptural premise for any of it.

So what is the truth? Every Christian is a healer! Now watch this. ‘These signs shall follow THEM THAT BELIEVE. There are two things to notice here. Jesus did not say to his disciples who would soon become Apostles, these signs shall follow YOU that believe. Instead He used the term THEM meaning there will be others who will come after you who will do all these things.

Why? Because they will have the same Holy Spirit in them that will be in you was Jesus’ inference here. This alone completely decimates the ‘cessationist’ doctrine and stops it dead in its tracks. The second thing is simple. You must believe to release the healing power.

Remember the Holy Spirit is Jesus without limits so ‘the healer’ is dwelling in every at the point of salvation. No wonder every believing believer has the ability to produce healing through their hands, voice and actions. This is too powerful to miss. I hope you caught that.

I have said all that to say this: Jesus told us to lay our hands on the sick and they will recover. So why do we pray for the sick? Did Jesus tell us to pray for the sick OR lay our hands on the sick? Lay our hands on them. This can be a huge paradigm shift for many Christians.

When we understand that we ‘whatever we do in word or deed,’ we do all in the name of Jesus, we start to gain a different perspective. You don’t even have to say ‘in the name of Jesus’. Why? Because you live in His name and have come in His name wherever you go. His name is your family name (Ephesians 3:14).

We don’t pray for the sick to recover we lay hands on the sick with the revelation knowledge that the healer lives in us therefore we are healers. What stops people from receiving their healing? The same thing that stopped Jesus from doing any mighty works in Judea; Unbelief.

What is the only cure for unbelief? The teaching of the Word of God. Imagine how the Body of Christ would function if every member would catch ahold of the reality that they are healers and would lay hands on the sick and see them recover. This is a picture the glorious church that Jesus is coming for.

You can even lay hands on yourself. Jesus never stipulated whose hand it was. If you believe and have the consciousness of the healer in you who makes you a healer, then you can correct anything in your own body.Eternal life is the self-healing mechanism to keep you sound and in health.

Don’t be an unbelieving believer, believe that these signs follow you and see what God can do in and through YOU!
