NO WAY WE CAN LOSE!

Today I thought I would come here for the express reason of encouraging YOU! If you belong to God there is only victory and triumph on your path. We who believe are ‘blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus.’ Eternal Salvation is God’s guarantee that no matter what challenges you face in your health, finances or relationships, you can never be defeated because you have been born into a family of overcomers.

The word victory in the Greek is ‘nikos’ derived from ‘nike’ which means conquest, success, to utterly vanquish (a foe). We are now perpetually in this state of total and complete victory in Christ. I love how the Message describes it in 2 Corinthians 2:14 as ‘a perpetual victory parade’.

We triumph ALWAYS and EVERY WHERE.

‘Thriambeuo’ the Greek word for triumph means to triumph over conquer, or give victory. This is precisely what Jesus did in His death burial and resurrection. He conquered, triumphed over and gave the victory of His conquest to US!

What did Jesus gain the victory and triumph over, for us? Death. In conquering death He conquered Satan who held the keys of death. Remember, he gained them through deception.

So what did we get at salvation? The victory and triumph of incorruptible, eternal life in the place of death. In reality when you are born of the Spirit you are ‘off death’s limits’. Let me explain.

‘For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ has made me free from the law of sin and death.’ Just as darkness is merely the absence of light, death is the absence of life. Now that you have this eternal life of God, you can never die. Life is the absence of death.

This is the ultimate expression of the victory of Christ in the life of a believer. You may leave your physical body and this realm but you will live on forever because of the life of God you have on the inside of you.

Now I’m not saying that you may not face hardships in your life. What I am saying is none of these experiences have the power to destroy you or take away the eternal life that is your security and assurance in Christ.

You may feel a million miles from God right now but if you are in Christ you have the God on the inside of you. Jesus said to those who are His; ‘I will never leave you or forsake you’ and ‘I will be with you even until the end of the age’.

You may not even be in church but you are still in His Kingdom. Truth be told It’s too late for the believer to back out. Why? Because He made it happen, not you. We can’t undo what He has done that is eternal. That’s the width of his extravagant love or what we call His grace.

Once you are a new creature in Christ, you cannot lose your salvation no matter what you have done or where you have been. Surround yourself with people who can help you in your Christian walk and talk to the Lord who desires connection and relationship with you and holds nothing against you for anything. You are justified in Him.

It’s not too late for you. Don’t ever forget God loves YOU and my prayer is that you have been encouraged, inspired and built up by the word of His grace by the good news that in Christ, there is no way we can lose!

Be persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels, nor things present nor things to come; Nor height, nor depth, or any other creature can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
